Besides the fact that I'd wear that boot in black (I like the height) with a suit, I've noticed two things about the thread in question that seems to apply to all the clothing forums and it's something I've noticed after reading them for lord help me, about 7 years 'as it been?

People are fucking cheap.  Save your fucking pennies, and then buy something.  Will Ascot Chang make 1 shirt?  $200 is too much for a pair of shoos.

Second is this whole pathetic notion that we're in this sort marketplace democracy and the consumer is the voter and the manufacturer is the politician (or if bothers to soil himself by posting in a forum, the "Statesman!").   All these guys love their little Cliff's notes versions of the free market.  And then they can't see why they, the mighty consumers, get ignored.  Fuck them.
