Stumbled across this site today when searching for a tailor in London and quite enjoyed reading some of the threads, so Hello!

I have recently located to London and I work in the City of London. Outside work I tend to wear sports wear or something comfy for the garden, so my knowledge of what to wear in work is limited. I am young (26) so I am after a suit that is sharp and smart looking - thinking James Bondesque, without looking old and aged.

Before I came to London I went to my local tailor for a suit, with the intent on getting measured up and having a MTM suit. He kind of pushed me in the direction of a RTW suit with alterations (which was the cheaper option although I was willing to pay the £600 for the MTM suit) and after trying it on it looked great and his alterations seem to give me a very good fit. So I have a number of questions....

1) The RTW suit I ended up with is "Gibson London" - it has a pretty young feel to it which I like and it looks smart, does anyone know if this is a decent RTW suit? I payed 325 for it including alterations, is this a fair price?

2) I am now looking for a new suit to add to my collection - I quite like the look and feel of the Hugo Boss suits online - is this the way to go, RTW with alterations? I am normal size, 32 waist, 32 leg. This will be around 600-750 (from a quick look online) would I be better getting a MTM suit in London somewhere?

3) I earn decent money so dont mind paying whatever it costs for a cracking suit, I have read some good reviews about Graham Browne of London, what sort of cost am I looking at for a MTM there, and also what will it cost for a MTM at Savile row?

Finally, I had a moment of madness about a month ago after hearing about Raja Fashions (some Hong Kong tailor you meet in a hotel room and he measures you up - there was a review in the Evening Standard I think), I paid 350 for the suit and when it came back it is nothing like I wanted, its good for nothing except the bin. So on that note, I would be keen to stay away from tailors who are not based in UK without a good reputation.
