Further, even if we assume that the reporter completely fucked over this poor kid, he (the kid) should have realized that a reporter might have their own agenda which could include taking quotes out of context, supplying incorrect/inflated/lazily researched prices, and generally making the subject look like a complete fucking tool.

I can't say that I have a problem with this fellow's dress on at all.

It's a helluva lot more than I'd be willing to spend, but it seems like it does fall within the territory of some here. He looks better than a great many people I see in offices. 

Douchey quotes are another story and serve to remind us that people are more (or less) than the sum or taste of their apparel.

I think he should try not to make the withered prune face at the camera, but that's not a sartorial matter.
