Re: Koji Suzuki readymade

Is that woven leather on the tops of the two lace-ups on the top right?

I like the toe shape but they all appear to be similar in width to AEs.

Re: Koji Suzuki readymade

Koji Suzuki is always very impressive.  He does Italian shoes better than the Italians in some ways.

Cheers.

They have a somewhat French look as well.

Re: Koji Suzuki readymade

^^^^ yes, fitting done with a prova shoe.  I have a fitting in late May and will report back afterwards.  It is my understanding that they are handmade, and they are certainly custom.  He did not appear to have a machine in stock other than a buffer, and he and his apprentices were welting shoes at the small table in the shop when I was there.

Re: Koji Suzuki readymade

The last looks indeed very nice. Did you know why Ugolini does not "lift" (I don`t know if this is the correct term)the front part of the sole? Maybe it is just the angle of the picture.

Twin Six,

What sort of shoes do you wear?

I mainly wear AE, Alden rtw in black. Always wanted to try custom but really never had the balls to lay out $3,000 or more.
