I don't think A&S would appreciate me listing all the people that make the clothes that will be in the shop. But most of the purchases have been from people like Will at ASW, and most of the hunting down has come during trips for my next book.

By the way, in case anyone doesn't know, I should declare an interest: I work for A&S writing their Notebook apprentices' blog.

Old Fruit - no - and I have no intention of going there either! The old A&S guys were reclusive and secretive. They must be spinning in their graves to see what the place has become, under PR-man Cromps.

PS - anyone guess what the letters 'SC' stand for on Crompy's Louis Vuitton fag-bag?

PPS - I expect that Crompy is down there in East Sheen rubbing his -er - hands - with glee on the basis that there's no such thing as 'bad publicity'; not even if you're Max Clifford..
