Thornbridge Jaipur IPA http://www.thornbridgebrewery.co.uk/thornbridge-cask-beer.php at Ace of Spades Wetherspoon.
I usually miss out on this at festivals because it is a well-regarded stronger ale and I leave strong stuff till the end of a session.
I also had Sambrook Pale Ale and Twickenham Hornet both within the LocAle scheme http://www.camra.org.uk/locale.
Getting fond of this boozer and it is cheap as chips.
Loch Lomond, 21 year old whisky. A seriously underrated distillery with the critics, this is a magnificent rich dram that takes to plenty of water well and has all the quality of Macallans, but not of the kudos. Still, this keep the prices down.
G&T by the pool kinda day.
Beer from the wood. Specifically Wadworth Horizon. You don't see Wadworth beer too much in London these days.
At the magnificent Ye Olde Mitre. It is a privilege to have this pub so close to my office.

Abbot ale from my local shop - three bottles for a fiver.
Anything I can get my hands on. Heineken light...3 bottles...Rosso di Montalcino...2 glasses...girl juices...Gordon's gin I am coming after you next...this place will be bone dry by morning.
Welton's Top Dog at 1.2%. Yea 1.2%. A bit watery. 2.5% is as low as it goes a good beer.
Also had other beers including Adventure New Frontier at 5.8%
Nothing after 2 nights ago.... 3 large neat Jameson's, 2 shots of navy Rum, a vodka and coke a cocktail called a baby maker and 4 vesper's. All I had for dinner was some french fries at the bar so the kidneys were screaming the next day.
Some Glenfiddich 15 on Saturday. Aberlour has been by usual evening drink lately.
Had some of that myself last night: the Glenfiddich 15 year old. Absolutely first rate and a consistent whisky, a sure winner.
Fantastic!
Theakston's Old Peculiar in sunny Harrogate.
The secret with hard liquor is not to drink it like Ribenna, that's what good German pilsener is for. Failing that, proletariat beer.
Heppie - what the liver vs grog update?
Various Wetherspoon including:-

Tasting Notes: Endeavour is a brand new English hop, grown by the capper family In deepest Herefordshire. Known as a 'Hedgerow' hop, it grows without the towering traditional tall hop poles. Endeavour imparts a familiar English bitterness, with subtle dark fruit & citrus in the background.
Style: Golden ale
Abv: 4.0%
See: Pale gold
Smell: Spicy, autumn fruits
Taste: Blackcurrant & citrus
Bitter: 2.5
Sweet: 2
Also had a sirloin steak and a pint of Guinness for next to nothing and it was a tasty steak too. Cannot knock this particular Wetherspoon( or several others in the borough - apart from the Kings Tun) but the chain gives other pubs a hard time competing.
