It seems that the pants on the Andover website are never small enough for me, with 34 usually being the smallest size in stock on the site. That's really the only thing that's dissuaded me.
Wait Dogstar.... Did you not give the Tyrwhitts an unfavorable review at some point? Maybe it was someone else... I think Leer likes their trousers.
I don't think I have ever come across any higher fwiw. Only my bespoke suit pants.
But as you say, the price is great, which is generally why i get them for work pants.
Hoggs are higher, as are O'Connell's, which are high rise i.e the same as was the norm for many years e.g. as can be found on all vintage sack suits. High rise trousers are a bit like double soled shoes and soft collar shirts (and fresh coffee): once you get used to them, it's very hard to settle for less.
Hoggs just have that single rear pocket right?
Yuca, it may just be the pictures, but the Hoggs cords look to be cut quite massive up around the ass zone.
Expensive, and maybe the rise could be a little higher, but they look great!

Cordings as already mentioned iirc. You could also try Roderick Charles who tend to be good with the rise. This asumes that you live in London or at least the UK.
Has any tried these orvis ones?

What's the all important rise like?
Received 2 pairs of C Tyrwhitt cords. Rise on 1 is 11" and the other is 10.5". This is the classic fit, with a higher rise than the other models, so I assume the other models stop half way up the crack. Hipster trousers are deemed classic and have the highest rise available - the world has gone mad. It seems it's impossible to escape the sheer infantile ugliness of the 21st century.
Yuca - I feels your pain Sir...
Only pairs I really like now that I wear are some LVC 1920s jobbies from a few years back...nice n thick...decent rise...built in turnips, suspenderization options etc. - I'd like more tbh...
Therefore, I am on a mission this winterage... I just know there's summat half decent out there..
The East End Fit at Ben Sherman have a decent rise and a taper. They probably taper too much for a few on here but I like em.
