Not the cardigan that is a Jacket (Brooks used to do an 'Office Cardigan' that was knitted with lapels), but the jacket that is a Cardigan...
My Personal tailor, Mr. Trevor, is at work making sense of my ideas as we speak.
(Maybe I started drinking too early today... I can never tell...)
Unlined, with all the usual 'Ivy' details, cut from some kind of 'Jersey' - A jacket that goes beyond the 'Sack' and the 'Slack' into the ultimate Miles Davis 1961 G.Q. relaxed look.
Can it be done?
Mr. Trevor says he will have to think.
.. Unlike me when I had the idea...
Pray for me & my new jacket.
God Bless.

Ego te absolvo and all best wishes.
Sorry 'bout the latin, been years since I studied it at school.
good lucK with the "experiment" jack.
years ago I had a double breasted -shawl collared -navy blue heavy weight cardigan with gold , metal buttons. I often wore this with shirt and tie as a substitue blazer- used to love it I did- until I saw a gypsy in a pub wearing the self same cardigan - he paired his with soverign and horseshoe rings ( that and the caravan - was how I knew he was a gypsy) - kind of influenced my decision to no longer wear it.
you know someone should really start a thread on gypsy clothing - all those dealer boots- - heavy knit cardigans-sage coloured shirts and too tight trousers.
I refer of course to Irish travellers ( do some tarmacing for you mister)- as opposed to Romany gypsies with their black pants tucked into their tall leather boots - with a romantic white blousy shirt - earring , bandanna and wide leather belt.
J ol Sport,
I am praying for you and your jacket. Knowing you to be a man of taste and style, I trust that you shalt not be reinventing the "cardigan blazer" in the upper left of this webpage. Though come to think of it, I reckon a cardigan blazer like the Maus and Hoffman could be the perfect accessory to accompany your chum Tom B-D to his early bird dinners in Florida.

On the 'Icons' page. Miles in soft 'n' slouchy mode.
Thanks, C. That's the shot.
There must have been more pics in that shoot but I've never seen them.
No breast pocket - Like those 'Burrows' Sacks in St. Christopher's Place, London. I'd not noticed that detail until now. Interesting.
Jacko ol Chum,
Bollocks to your local tailor. You have gained such stature that Ralph Lauren now listens and designs to your whims.
I do hope you are getting your cut from that "aspirant" Ralph Lauren.
Cheers,
Trip

Gosh.
I've been talking about this idea for a while...
Surely not?
