^  I liked your old 'Mono wardrobe' idea as a way to make a start. A real "Trad 101" idea.

Get the basics. Add 'accent' details (ties, etc) to ring the changes & move on from there as and when.

Makes more sense than any other approach I've seen on the Net.

The DOW is American style indeed. Anglo influenced, but even at home in Blighty he didn't dress much like an English Gent. once he'd gotten into his stride. All that freedom he was after went to his head.

He's too flash to be one of us. Too studied and too tricksy in all the clobber he used to pile on.
