I wish I could add Crombie to that list but it seems to be suitings.

Crombie factory in Aberdeen is closed so I do not know where the cloth is made now.

I would love to be able to date the various Crombie labels too.

Let's not forget the beautiful silks produced by Vanners. They really don't cater to retail clients but if large enough they are open to "corporate gifts" sized orders.

Re: Our Favourite Fabric Houses

I'd add Dugdale to the list of makers worth looking at and especially their Fisher & Sons range. They used to make some interesting cloth in their other ranges as well. Although they look like a fabric house Dugdale is a mill and supplies some of the fabric houses under contract. They also have a wide range of trimmings.
