Hi, Gents,
I think that it's time we have a thread(in case we don't already have one)which lists the greatest, or, at least, our favourite, fabric houses(or fashion houses that make their own fabric) in the world.
I'll start.

I wish I could add Crombie to that list but it seems to be suitings.
Crombie factory in Aberdeen is closed so I do not know where the cloth is made now.
I would love to be able to date the various Crombie labels too.
Something for everybody...

No websites but great fabrics
Lovat Mill (tweeds and some worsteds)
H.E. Box (Cavalry Twills)
Moxon Huddersfield ( Mohairs and worsteds)
and as above Fox Bros. (Flannel)
Let's not forget the beautiful silks produced by Vanners. They really don't cater to retail clients but if large enough they are open to "corporate gifts" sized orders.

Kiton? I wasnt aware they were a fabric house? Where's BCL got to? He must be made to account for this!
The email adress on lessers site is not working. Does anyone have a current email adress?
I'd add Dugdale to the list of makers worth looking at and especially their Fisher & Sons range. They used to make some interesting cloth in their other ranges as well. Although they look like a fabric house Dugdale is a mill and supplies some of the fabric houses under contract. They also have a wide range of trimmings.

Some of their shirt fabrics are exceptional, occasionally at the same level of the best from Riva.
